6-Minute Wellness respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information when you visit our website, contact us, book a conversation, subscribe to communications, use our digital resources or participate in our services.

1. Who we are

6-Minute Wellness is operated by Dara A. Tayrien, trading as 6-Minute Wellness, ABN 38 703 631 028, based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia (“6-Minute Wellness”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

2. Scope and our approach

We aim to handle personal information responsibly and consistently with applicable Australian privacy laws, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles where they apply.

This policy covers our website, enquiry and booking processes, email communications and digital resources. A corporate client may also have a separate agreement with us that addresses information handled for a particular engagement. We will update this policy before introducing personal accounts or paid access to the 6-Minute Wellness Library.

3. Information we may collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • your name, work email address, telephone number, organisation and role;
  • enquiry and booking details, including the service you are interested in, proposed timing, participant numbers and information you choose to include in a message;
  • transaction and billing records where a service or resource is purchased (if Stripe is used to accept payment, payment-card details are handled by Stripe rather than stored by us);
  • newsletter subscriptions, consent records, preferences and unsubscribe requests;
  • feedback, survey responses and testimonials you choose to provide;
  • accessibility, mobility or wellbeing information you voluntarily provide where it is reasonably needed to help us deliver an appropriate and safe session; and
  • technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, referring pages, pages viewed and cookie or analytics data.

Please do not include confidential medical information in a general website enquiry. If particular information is needed to support participation, contact us so we can discuss an appropriate way to provide it.

4. How we collect information

We collect information directly from you when you submit a form, send an email, book a meeting, subscribe, create an account, complete a survey, purchase a service or resource, or communicate with us. We may also receive business contact information from your employer or event organiser where it is reasonably necessary to arrange a service.

Some technical information is collected automatically by our website, hosting, security and analytics tools.

5. Why we use information

We may use personal information to:

  • respond to enquiries and prepare proposals;
  • schedule, administer and deliver workshops, programs, keynotes and resources;
  • process payments and maintain business records;
  • send service messages, booking confirmations and requested resources;
  • send newsletters or marketing where we have consent or are otherwise permitted to do so;
  • improve our website, resources and services;
  • protect our website, users and business from misuse, fraud and security threats; and
  • meet legal, insurance, accounting and regulatory obligations.

6. Marketing communications

We will only send commercial electronic messages where we have consent or another lawful basis to do so. Newsletter consent is separate from making an enquiry or booking a meeting. Our newsletters may occasionally include relevant information, events or resources from carefully selected partner organisations. We will send those communications ourselves and will not provide our subscriber list to a partner for its own marketing without consent or another lawful basis.

You can unsubscribe using the link in an email or by contacting us. We will action unsubscribe requests within the period required by law.

7. When we share information

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to:

  • website hosting, security, form and technical-support providers;
  • Google Workspace, Google Calendar and Google Meet for email, bookings and meetings;
  • MailerLite, while it is used for our email newsletters and automations, and any replacement email provider identified in an updated version of this policy;
  • Stripe, if used to process a payment, together with our accounting and record-management providers;
  • professional advisers, insurers or contractors supporting our business; and
  • government bodies, regulators or other parties where required or authorised by law.

These providers may only use the information for the services they provide to us, subject to their own terms and privacy obligations.

We may arrange reciprocal promotions with carefully selected organisations—for example, each organisation may send information about the other’s relevant offering to its own subscribers. In that situation, each organisation retains and manages its own list. We do not exchange subscriber email addresses or other contact details unless the individual has expressly agreed or disclosure is otherwise permitted by law.

8. Overseas processing

Some service providers operate globally and may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States, countries in the European Economic Area and other locations used by their service infrastructure. These locations can change according to provider infrastructure and account settings. Where practicable, we take reasonable steps to use reputable providers with appropriate privacy and security safeguards.

9. Cookies and analytics

Our website may use essential cookies for security, forms, account access and site operation. We use Google Analytics to understand information such as how visitors find and use the website and which pages are most useful. Google Analytics may collect device, browser, approximate location and website-interaction information using cookies or similar technologies. We intend to configure it for limited data collection and not to use advertising personalisation features unless we update this policy and provide appropriate notice or choices.

Where required, we will provide a cookie notice or consent controls. You can also manage cookies in your browser, although disabling essential cookies may affect site functions.

10. Storage, security and retention

We take reasonable steps appropriate to our size and activities to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No online system is completely secure.

We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, to maintain business and consent records, or to satisfy legal, tax, insurance and dispute-resolution requirements. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete it or de-identify it.

You may ask to access personal information we hold about you or request a correction. Contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity and, where permitted by law, may refuse access or limit what is provided. If so, we will explain why where required.

Our website may link to research, booking tools, social media and third-party websites. Those services are responsible for their own privacy practices. We encourage you to review their policies.

14. Children

Our website and workplace services are primarily directed to organisations and adults. We do not knowingly use the website to collect personal information directly from children without appropriate involvement from a parent, guardian, school or responsible organisation.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services, technology or legal obligations change. The current version will be published on this page with its last-updated date.
